Dear All, This is my response to Dr. Barry Sear’s Fish Oil, omega-3 fatty acid video. Thanks for watching! Nutrition in Clinical Practice 21:323-341. This is the review article written by the faculty and doctors at Harvard Medical School. Other random, but interesting facts: “There have been a number of clinical trials assessing the benefits of dietary supplementation with fish oils in several inflammatory and autoimmune diseases in humans, including rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis and migraine headaches. Many of the placebo-controlled trials of fish oil in chronic inflammatory diseases reveal significant benefit, including decreased disease activity and a lowered use of anti-inflammatory drugs.” From: www.jacn.org “As such, at the moment, there is some expectations of benefits and a reasonable certainty of no harm (from omega-3′s).     @Fludeyy dude! eat a damn avacado or some nuts! your brain needs it, your skin needs it. natural fats are essential for a human health. if your a vegitairian or vegan there are alot of natural plant scources of healthy fats. if your restricting your fat intake for weight loss reasons, you might due some reaserch and find that fats are metabolized slowly and therfore do contribute to body fat -simple carbs (sugar & starch) do. if your low fat diet is due to liver or galblader probs, idk…

    @ohnoyoudidntx yah chinese medicine is awesome! my husband is going to school to become an accupuncturist and have his masters in oriental medicine. some great books on the subject have been written by Daniel Reid.

    can i take fish oil tablets as a subsitute for my extremely low fat diet? like some days i only get about 10 grams of fat a day :l

    WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO CANNOT BENEFIT. everytime i eat any fat, even good fat which i depserately need now b/c my brain functions like a retard’s, it all goes straight to the toilet all nasty. i have problems digesting any of it & my skin is suffering & i am at a dead end here

    what the fuck can you do about this

    as much as modern medicine likes to deny it, food is medicine! true
    thats why i follow traditional chinese medicine..natrual remedies and cures to simple problems without the harsh modern western medicines that destroys the body .

    the chinese believe that food is medicine , thats why they eat lots of different things. herbs . plants, animals, weird things.

    Fish oil contain Alloy (metal) like mercury and lead plus other toxin. The best source for omaga 3 is “flax seed” or “coconut oil”. Fish oil will cause cancer and tumors over a long time consumption.

    FISH OIL is SNAKE OIL……FLEX seed is a Excellent source of Omaga 3.

    Your right. But Omega 6 naturally encourages growth of tumours and omega 3 discourages their growth. So omega 3 via flax or better fish ir well worth it. Buy a supplement that is tested for PCB, has them removed. Not that more expensive. Well worth it. Purchase grass fed meat, eat greens, walnuts, flax with it in too..

    Yes, but you can get a pharmaceutical form of fish oil that removes the PCBs and mercury.

    So doesn’t matter how good it is… it matters about the high risk it has.

    It’s good for you, but at the same time 3/10 Omage-3 contains PCB that links to cancer. Look it up
