Thanks for putting it out there, Jordan. You’re such a hero for health.

  • Nakutao says:

how do you eat wild salmon raw .. do u just soak it in apple cider vinegar or something?? whats jordan talking about

  • ravendream33 says:

I always struggled to find foods I could eat and digest, i.e. not feel like crap after I eat it…..and the food I eat now is all I can eat and still feel good after 20 years of experimenting back and forth. I know part of my weak constitution is because my mother didn’t ever breastfeed me and that is a huge difference in my health struggles. My boyfriend was breastfed a long time and can digest anything and feel great……actually break it down.

  • JackNeedles says:

I have nothing against what people believe, as long as it doesn’t hurt other people and they don’t force their beliefs on people who have a different opinions/beliefs. Some people handle fats well, some handle carbs well, some don’t, yes, but at the end of the day, we all digest food the same. We aren’t that different. The fact is, if yo were in the wild over 12000 or so years ago, you would be eating wild fruits, raw animal products, and some wild herbs/vegetables, with maybe a few exceptions.

  • JackNeedles says:

Nope, never had that problem. My body digests raw animal products quite well and the same goes with my friends. The probiotics in raw milk is ideal for your digestive system and actually makes it handle greens much better too.

  • JackNeedles says:

Yes, it is true, that you can get Vitamin D from certain mushrooms by a certain process, but keep in mind that 1. this is Vitamin D 2, not D 3, which it has to be converted to by your body, and 2. it’s not in a large enough amount.

  • ravendream33 says:

What part does our power of belief play in all of this? Is he doing so well on his version because of his strong belief? Are we all feeling so well because we believe we are right? Hmmm…..Belief is powerful. I mean if I went out and ate a candy bar now, I would feel guilt, weak, and vulnerable …….not strong, happy, and powerful like I do after a kale salad. Ha.!

  • ravendream33 says:

Jordan seems convinced all are the same. We all have different blood types, demographics, genetics, diseases, activity levels, weaknesses, mental conditions, beliefs, and values. All of these are important when it comes to what we put in our mouth. Even if meat were healthy for everybody, a person who believes it is wrong to eat it, would not benefit from violating his beliefs or disgusting himself by eating it. One who believes it necessary to eat meat, and is deprived, will suffer. Yes?

  • ravendream33 says:

I ate a hemlock root in the wild once when I was 6 and almost died…….it was off season so it wasn’t as powerful as in season. I agree, I would not eat any wild roots again!!

  • ravendream33 says:

I agree about potatoes. I wasn’t eating them because I thought they were healthy. I was eating them for pure pleasure and they were my last vice food, you see. They were like someone eating candy bars to me. That was my most sinful food. I know sashimi dogests easily but does it cause your friends or you to have smelly stinky poop. I just don’t want stinky shit!! BTW, I quit potatoes 6 months ago when I started all raw last year.

  • ravendream33 says:

My mother was reading about reishi and shitake mushrooms containing Vitamin D, especially if they are dried gills facing up in the sun, no lie! But I don’t have any proof! Ha! I’m just saying……:it’s possible….

  • ravendream33 says:

Oh for sure, my boyfriend is like you. I don’t tell him how to eat, and he doesn’t tell me what to eat. Hell, I don’t tell anybody what to do, but what works for me. I also think blood type might apply. I am type A, that weaker type, while my boyfriend is B and eats raw dairy and egg yolks and feel great. As soon as I eat dairy raw, I get massive mucus, sinus congestion, sore throat from the drainage, fever for a week, and bronchitis another week!! Tried many times. We all different.

  • JackNeedles says:

If that is what works for you, then keep at it, but there are many people in the living food world who need raw animal products in order to stay healthy. I am one of them. In the wild, for example, during winter, animal products are the only true source of Vitamin D.

  • JackNeedles says:

Yes, I know a potato is not a grain. I was talking about grains/starches in general. In short, starchy foods are not healthy to consume. Starches are hard on your digestive system and they are not good for your blood sugar/insulin levels in general. If you lived in the wild before farming you would not really eat them. High quality, wild caught, all natural sashimi is pretty easy to digest for most people. I and my friends who eat the sme kind of diet have no problem with it at all.

  • ravendream33 says:

Now I eat huge salads of Kale, dulse, avocado, raw apple cider vinegar, cayenne, tomato, and any other green thing once or twice a day and random tree ripened fruit, not too much. I sprinkle nutritional yeast on the salad for B12 and take B12 supplements just to be doing it. I drink spring or the best filtered water I can find, Pau D Arco tea, and warm water flavored with either vanilla or cinnamon. I can drink raw nut milks but I don’t like it enough to bother making it. Bee products too.

  • ravendream33 says:

I tried this over and over for seven years off and on, and as much as I liked eating raw fish, I could not feel good eating it. I cut out all grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, and raw cheese because I feel just awful every time I eat them. I have always eaten avocados daily.

  • ravendream33 says:

A potato is not a grain. Lets make that distinction. I have not eaten grains for 11 years, which is half of your lifespan, part of that time being the time of the experiment I mentioned.I never ate a potato and sashimi on the same day because I have followed strict food combining since Fit For Life came out. I tried eliminating the fish, and things went back to normal in three days. I took out the potatoes and kept the fish and things never worked right.

  • JackNeedles says:

Well, I am not going to say what worked best for you. All I know is that my health has improved since including raw animal products into my diet, including herbs. I would guess that the potatoes you were eating is what may have caused you to be constipated. Some people make a mistake of eating grains with raw animal products and that can cause bloating and gas, etc. In fact, grains in general are hard on the body and are not natural to consume.

  • ravendream33 says:

You can buy raw milk in Whole Foods? In Florida it is illegal, but they will sell cheese raw.

  • ravendream33 says:

I also ate sashimi ( raw wild Alaskan salmon) on and off for seven years to see if I felt better eating it or not eating it with a diet of raw fruits, raw and steamed veggies, baked yams and baked potatoes. The only dairy I had in my diet was some organic butter. Every time I added the raw salmon, I got a “high” feeling, but later I was constipatied, irritable, tired, had stinky poop! When I ate fruits and veggies again, my poop did not stink!! After 7 years, I gave up salmon.

  • ravendream33 says:

I agree …..cooked egg whites I would not eat for sure.

  • ravendream33 says:

I tried the raw egg yolks for a year and simply didn’t feel any better or worse with or without them so I quit because they nauseated me….I could taste them in whatever they were in.

  • ravendream33 says:

No her grandparents were from a country in Africa, where she grew up. This was handed down folk knowledge in her family.. The reason I followed her advice, however, was because her grandparents were very old and still healthy. She also had done five years of medical and scientific journal research on this diet on her website. It was working for so many people for their acne and cellulite.

  • Zippypo says:

Jordan angers me. I know Vegans who have been doing it since the 60′s and seem fine to me.
I think we rely to much on science. If you ever come to NE PA Paul there is a farm close to me that has all the raw milk, butter and cheese you can handle either from cow or goat. Also they have eggs.
For me it is just nasty smelling and I won’t touch it.
When I first attempted the raw diet in 1989 I ate raw seafood whatever was caught daily when I was in VA.

  • JackNeedles says:

Okay, well, I understand human biology vwey well too. And research has also concluded that, once again, there is not enough avidin to bind to biotin in a raw egg. I do not eat raw egg whites alone and I actually consume the yolks alone all the time. it’s not like I eat whole eggs raw all the time. For example, certain shakes I make taste better with whole raw eggs while others taste better with just the yolks. They probably cooked their eggs too, many toxins are created by the cooking process.
